This Saturday, May 5, Occupy Delaware members will join residents of Wilmington’s Hilltop neighborhood in beautifying one of their community gardens.
Occupy Delaware members, along with Wilmington In Transition folks, have been invited to participate in this event as part of the citywide Community Project Day.
We invite gardeners and non-gardeners alike to join us on the corner of 5th & Harrison, at 9:00 am. (Bring a pair of work gloves and flowers to plant, if you are so inclined.)
Some members have already built two raised beds for planting (to add to the two that were already at the spot) as well as hauling compost to add to all the beds.
Future plans for this location, include: repairing and/or replacing the fence, adding a gate and possibly a painting a mural on the wall adjacent to the property.
Here are some pictures from an earlier work day at the site.

What a great job you all are doing. Wilmington is better for what you do.
