Joining the group at its birthday celebration will be community and activist groups as well as poets, musicians and members of the 99%.
There will be music, mic checks, bankster pinatas, dancing, food + more.
When: August 5th from 2-4pm
Where: Spencer Plaza.
800 N. French St. Wilmington, DE.
Occupy Delaware plans to continue organizing the economically and politically disenfranchised 99% with creative forms of protest including “bank sleeps,” public General Assemblies, feeding the poor and homeless, expanding social media, and non-violent civil disobedience, including new Occupations of public space. Occupy Delaware expects that the economic crimes and political repression that has driven millions of human beings to public squares across the glove will continue and so will the global resistance.
Join on August 5th for our celebration and join us for our next phase of fighting economic injustice.
